Mr. Chenghao Li is a visiting scholar in the area of Chinese art and culture at the Confucius Institute at Troy. He began his one year residence at TROY in September 2008 shortly after obtaining his Masters of Fine Arts from Leeds Metropolitan University in the United Kingdom. Mr. Li is a lecturer in fine arts at Hebei Normal University of Science and Technology in China. His research and teaching interests are related to contemporary fine art: comparing the similarities and differences between Eastern and Western art work. He also works in digital design. In his spare time, Li conducts workshops in tai chi / kung fu for the Confucius Institute of TROY. Li is married to Yang Yu who is a volunteer at the Confucius Institute. She has a Master of Arts degree in International Educational Management with an emphasis in Fine Arts Education.
